Since the production and proportioning raw materials of feed are mainly powder and pellets, the use of pneumatic conveying systems is relatively common in the feed industry.

The solid raw materials used in feed factories are usually divided into two categories: one is powdery raw materials, such as stone powder, calcium hydrogen phosphate, wheat bran, etc.; the other is granular raw materials, such as corn, soybeans, cereals, etc. At present, the widely used raw material packaging method in my country is small bag packaging, and there are also some packaging forms of ton bag packaging. Bulk transportation methods such as tank trucks are more common in foreign countries, but have not been widely used in China.

Due to the packaging method of raw materials, the handling, warehousing, and dismantling of raw materials are often completed by manual handling or mechanical transportation. The traditional manual operation mode not only has high labor intensity and poor working environment, but also uses machinery such as bucket elevators. Transportation equipment cannot avoid material residues inside the equipment, and product quality is difficult to guarantee.

The use of pneumatic conveying system can greatly improve production efficiency, improve labor environment, and reduce production intensity. On the other hand, automatic production based on pneumatic conveying will become the development trend of my country's feed industry.

In the feed factory, the main applications of pneumatic conveying systems are as follows:

①In the feed production line that produces high-grade premix, because the raw materials of the product are relatively expensive and the quality requirements of the product are also high, the pneumatic conveying system will be considered. During the pneumatic conveying process, there is almost no material residue inside the pipeline, which can avoid cross-contamination caused by material residue and will not affect the quality of the product.

②The pneumatic conveying system has a high degree of automation and can be connected to production equipment in all links. Therefore, it is often used for raw material reception in feed factories and for the transportation of products between various production equipment.

③ Some feed products have higher requirements on the integrity of the material. For example, in the production of some aquatic feed or pet feed, there are often extruded and fragile materials. In the face of such materials, mechanical conveying equipment such as bucket elevators will cause The more serious crushing and deformation are not as reliable as the pneumatic conveying system.

④In ports, docks and other places, the pneumatic conveying system has higher conveying efficiency. The use of dock suction guns and other equipment can improve the unloading efficiency and reduce labor intensity.
